Growing up in Holland and watching MTV made Gin realize she wanted to be in the music industry. She started to write little poems that turned into songs. At school she was known as the girl with the strong voice and the big hair. Doing different projects she got in contact with Dutch Hip Hop Producer Fox.
Together they made several mix tapes that were sold throughout Europe. Her style really brings a new sound to the table being compared to such artists as Nelly, Eve, and Kelis.. In 1999, from the release of her 1st album, she had her first video “Tearin’ up” play on national channels like The Box, TMF and AT5.
This led to many performances in and out of the country, such as Germany, Spain, UK and the US. After a few years of touring and recording various singles, her and the crew Boogie G Funk released their 2nd album, and had their second video success with the song “Finally”.
Gin stayed in Europe to work on her music. After a year she came to the Bay Area and shot the video “Work Hard”, the title track from her 3rd album. This song is about keeping your self-respect and work hard to fulfill your dreams. Gin is in the US recording her 5th album, working with various Bay Area artists and producers.
