RearView Destroyer

RearView Destroyer was a project that began in April of 2009. It began to come to life when brothers Dave and Steve Lorah, bassist and drummer respectively, began jamming out in the basement of their home. Both brothers have had a life long love for music and a strong desire to play which has landed them many opportunities playing for different bands.
Dave, the older brother, played with local bands Collapse the Control, Paindriver, and probably his most well known band Down For Life (DFL). 
Steve, clearly heavily inspired by the triumphs of his brother began playing out at a young age as well. His most recent band being a viking metal project called One Solution Only. All of these experiences and their natural musical prowess made writing a breeze. 

The music practically wrote itself but it wasn't enough. They couldn't make the music they heard inside because they just needed more band members. Enter old friend Justin Meckley who just happened to be an excellent guitar player from local band Cynibe. The chemistry was instant.The music flowed out of them effortlessly, even without lyrics, the rhythms and melodies they wrote together were very powerful. Many of RVD's first songs were written in that very basement. 

Their want to share their music with the world only intensified over time thus the search for a singer began. AS fate would have it we met the perfect frontman at Zia Maria's one night. Our old friend Brian Miller, from Hard Margret and Livewire fame, joined the band 3 to 4 months after RVD had first been conceived. 

Finally RVD's message and music could be delivered to all who would listen. They jammed together through 2010 opening for many national acts like the Misfits, Great White, Lizzy Borden, Bullet Boys, Taproot, Nonpoint, and Jackyl, absorbing all kinds of dedicated fans each time they played out.
