Hip Hop music can be considered as a very popular music genre in the present world. Plenty of Hip hop artists are out there in the present world, but all of them have not been able to get the success that they wanted or deserved. Out of the hip hop artists in the world, Bodiesel can be considered as one of the most talented hip hop artists, currently living in Eugene. The 27 year old artist has gained a lot of reputation as a talented musician among the hip hop fans in Oregon.
The birth name of Bodiesel is Bodie Joe and he was born on the 5th of September in 1984. He was born in California and grew up in Chico. Bodie Joe graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 2002. He had an interest for music from his small days. He wrote raps since he was in grade 7 and he composed some music for them, because he knew how to play some musical instruments. He had a good knowledge in playing saxophone and guitar from his small days and those skills helped him to sharpen the music knowledge. As the age of 16, he did his first public performance in front of 2500 people at a high school pep rally. He gained a lot of positive feedback for that performance and that motivated him to become a successful musician.
Then he continued his music career and he was able to write his first single in the year 2001. It was titled as ‘Every Single Time’ and it gained notoriety locally and was available for download on Napster. Then he went on to write rap music under the name ‘Rappin’ Botay’. This title was influenced by his childhood nickname ‘Botay’. He took the assistance of a best friend who went by BrandAz in order to write his music. Apart from music, he enjoys spending time outdoors and working on his business based on dietary supplements.
Bodiesel moved to Honolulu in the age of 23 and he lived in the island of Oahu. He did not practice music while living in Hawaii and then he moved to Eugene on 2008. He started music again after returning from the islands. He started working on his first album and he has done several songs for that debut album. Out of those songs, Got Me Losin It, I'll Make It, Drinks Up, She Needs BODIESEL and One Day are very popular among the music lovers in every corner of the country.
Because of this success, he was able to become the number 1 hip hop artist in Eugene. His music style is influenced by some famous rap artists like Eminem and 2Pac. He follows their music and his productions have the ability to compete with all the top hip hop songs in the country.
