From the age of 6 playing piano and starting with Elton John as a major influence, Bruce started writing songs at the age of 11 and performed for classmates in various talent shows. Bruce also learned the saxophone at age 9 and never put it down. From that point, Bruce starting writing rock and pop songs for the next 20 years and performing them in various bands. He put out his first rock album in 1999 called In Your World.
For a short time, from 2000 to 2008, Bruce got into smooth jazz and recorded & performed smooth jazz live and on my album, Ground Zero. It was the tenor and alto saxophones that became Bruce's main instrument during my songwriting. Bruce sold Ground Zero in 40 countries through websites like MP3.com and dominated the jazz charts in 2000 and 2001 on some jazz websites.
The jazz market died out in NY City and the long time jazz station, CD 101.9 was converted to a classic rock station and that prompted Bruce to go back to my writing rock. In 2012, Bruce put out Chasing Tornadoes and is working on a new album due out in March 2013 called Brainstorm which will contain a wider range of music from rock to pop to dance and hip hop.
