Artist Information:
JSR is an un-signed hip-hop and dance music artist from the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan. He produces all of his own music and write his own lyrics. He prides himself on a music style that is unique and different from the Detroit norm. JSR is well networked on the Detroit nightlife and party scene, as well as on the student campus scenes. He has worked with many other local artists, and just recently released his debut studio album. He recently opened up for the Ying Yang twins, and has received radio airplay on Detroit's 89x Radio Station, for which he was the "pick-of-the-week" from local talent. JSR performed at club Bleu Detroit alongside DJ Godfather for his album release party, back in June.
JSR prides himself on a music style that is unique and different from the Detroit norm. He is a young and ambitious artist, and brings a "real" vibe with his lyrics. He is currently managed by DJ Substanc3, whom helped produce his recently released music video for his debut single "Bad Day Good Night." DJ Substanc3 has opened up for such acts as Far East Movement, and together they have helped bring artists such as Bobby Valentino. JSR has also been introduced by other local talent such as Ro Spit of Burn Rubber Clothing. JSR has spent the past few years networking on the Detroit nightlife scene, with radio DJs, video directors, club owners, and more. He wants to truly share his music and bring a new and dynamic element to the music industry.
